About Us

A Strong and Sustainable Partnership

Founded in 2013, North West Alliance is a partnership between Palyku Traditional Owner investment group, Emu Nest, and global environmental services company, Veolia.

The 50% Aboriginal-owned, independently operated company brings together the best of indigenous and western knowledge on sustainability in order to care for Country and generate economic impact. So far, we have generated over $100 million in economic impact to the Pilbara region.

North West Alliance is the largest Aboriginal waste company in the Pilbara, with waste transfer stations located throughout the region. We service major mining and oil & gas companies in Western Australia, employing over 100 peopleĀ  and achieving a consistently high rate of Aboriginal and female engagement.

We are proud to demonstrate best practice with regard to a successful partnership between a Traditional Owner group and a publicly-listed, international company. We attribute our success to our focus on creating long-term value, and fostering a sense of belonging, trust, accountability and autonomy with our kinship network.

Our Purpose
